Another 8 more days, I will be away for another vacation.  A 8D7N trip. This time is the longest vacation I ever had. Where’s the destination? This time is TAIWAN!!!!!

These few days, works are pretty loaded. Need to settle a lot of stuff to have a smooth vacation with less interruption. At the same time I’m getting more and more excited since I’m having a trip with my really good buddies of all time. And after knowing each other for so long (almost 10 years!!), this is the first time ever that we are leaving out of country and having a vacation together!

Taiwan here we come!!
 

Had an amazing trip back in Kampar-Ipoh-Taiping. Had an aching shoulder, butt and feet from the long hours drive. But we ate quite a number of good food. I had never heard of Pasir Pinji before this trip. Not until I discovered there are a few gems inside this small area. Just a 10-15 minutes distance from Ipoh New Town. U can be easily lost in this area. Not until I visited this area twice, then only I start recognising the way to this area.

Thought I had not completely try all the food listed in my "DIE DIE MUST TRY" food listing, but so far the food absolutely awesome!

I currently still missing my mee rebus (Stall 50) at Casual Market, Taiping and 花生糊 (Peanut Tong Sui aka Fang Sang Woo) and Machi in Pasir Pinji, Ipoh!!
The stall owner of the 花生糊 are really good samaritan. You couldn't believe it. With us losing our way, we drove back to them, and ask for directions (no choice la, no GPS), instead of giving us direction, they get their car, asking us to tail them from behind to the way of next makan place in our itinerary...

Hahhaha I dont have any intention to add this entry actually coz my mind is blank right now and got nothing to express on my today's feeling. Just simply wanna countdown... In fact pretty tired .... Just finish part of my work.. Yes... I couldn't say completed, I only managed to meet my target for the day only... Yipeee!!

 Where have I missing on the first half year? A picture is worth a thousand words!

I’m back. Sorry for the late update as my exam just over and so do WorldCup. Delay no more. Let’s get back to track. Just in case you might forget the storyline, (Sorry!) read here.

So what happened huh? A bunch of young pretty gals running naked in the beach and I snapped the photo of them!!! :O Hehhee just kidding..  Okie.. Let’s resume…

A strong gust of wind catches us by surprised. The calm seawater had now becoming rough. The wind rushed over sea to spray my face with sand. Whole sky filled with dark clouds. The coconut trees were swaying to one side. We are all worried. The rest of the people had stopped their snorkeling activities and start coming out from the sea finding a better “hiding” place. But 7 of us still sitting on the bench looking at this sudden weather changes. What are we doing huh? We were really surprised by this sudden weather changes.

One of us : Tsunami arrr?? ( I forgot who said this line but for sure is not me)

At that very minute, our hopes dashed away. Are we coming here for nothing? But well luckily after 30 minutes later, it calmed down and we all are getting ready to dive into the sea.

But before we managed to get moving, people are offering us banana boat service. After much negotiation, we able to get the whole boat for 5 person for RM100 which mean RM20 per person. Earlier they were asking for RM30. Supposingly I’m more interested in parasailing but unfortunately I couldn’t find a partner to sail with me that time. RM60 per person for double seat. We are more comfortable with the banana boat pricing, so we just go ahead with that instead.

The banana boat experience was great. I never really expect that they will take us to the middle of sea. Normally I thought it will going to be around the beach side. With such a big waves in the middle of the sea (is rainy season over in Sabah during our trip), we were frightened at first. Mr.Boatman eventually asked us “You mau terbalik ke tidak?”. Hahahha.. Me and Shiau Mei gave a big NO sign. What the heck… In the middle of the sea, you want to boat to overturn huh… Hell No..

Then the adventure began. We screamed until our lungs came out. Hehehe one word… SYok!! I’ll play again!! Next we turn to ‘free and easy’ activities. Basically every each of us having fun their own way such as swimming, snorkeling, building sandcastles n etc.

After a few hours of fun, I’m way hungry and decided to put it a stop and search for food.. Perhaps the water at Manukan Island is really dirty. My skin showed some reaction. Rashes start popping up but I managed to put cream that helps to soothe those rashes and itchiness from it. So is not that bad after all.  I went with Adrian for our food searching. We managed to get two set of sandwiches for RM34. (Everything is expensive there)

After our real late lunch, we were ready to get back to jetty as Mr.Boatman will pick us up at 4pm. To cut things short for the day, we headed to hotel and took our shower before proceeding to Ocean Seafood Restaurant for our dinner and then Bangkok Jamz for our football match. That will be England vs Portugal!!

Imagine with whole day activities and not getting enough rest the day before, we still watched the match that end up a penalty shootout again! Hahah all started to have panda eyes or I would say neither of us interested in taking any photo as it won’t look nice with such a tiring faces.

Day 3
We all woke up in the morning to have a breakfast. Got fooled by the locals as we entered to a shop that crowded with full of people but the food does not taste nice at all. Went to Filipino Market to search for souvenirs for family and friends.

Let’s talk about the attitude of those sellers in Filipino Market.

Me and Frens : Kak,ini jual berapa? Boleh murah tak ini? (Pointing at the things we want)
Rude Lady : RM20.
Me and Frens : Kalau beli banyak, boleh murah lagi ke?
Rude Lady : Berapa u mau beli ni?
Me and Frens : Kalau beli 4/5?
Rude Lady : RM 15.
Me and Frens : Paling murah? Tak boleh kurang sikit lagi ke? (We thought of having a price of RM10)
Rude Lady : Tak boleh. Kalau mau beli, beli saja laaaaa! (Raising her voice)
Me and Frens : Terima kasih. Kita tengok dulu ya. (Thought of checking out others stalls that able to give us another good price)

Went to another stall after a few turning. We bumped into the lady again but I never really recognized her at all. People there look so similar. :P

Me and Frens : Kak,ini jual berapa? Boleh murah tak ini? (Same line again :D )
Rude Lady : Tadi sudah la cakap. RM 15 laaaaa. (She saying it with angry voices)
Me and Frens : Kak, murah lagi ler. Kita memang mau beli.
Rude Lady : Tak boleh. RM15 saja. Kalau nak, beli. Tak nak, tak boleh murah lagi. (With very rude manner)
Me and Frens: Tak pe. Terima Kasih ya. (All of us does not like her attitude and don’t intend to buy anymore even she really reduced to RM10)

While leaving her stall, she said …

Rude Lady : Bazir masa saya saje.
Me and Frens : ……….. (What is this man)

After our quick shopping, we are ready to go to Nexus Karambunai Resort. We reached there around noon. We are all amazed by the beauty of Nexus. Is really like heaven over there. We can’t wait anymore. I accompanied Kuang Haow to do the check in procedures and after putting our luggage in our room, we all toured around Nexus. They all decided to rent bicycle to take a ride around the area. But for me and Liu Ching is a setback since we don’t know how to cycle. Since we never take our lunch yet and I’m the one keep saying hungry. So both of us went to a Lounge to have our ‘light’ lunch where we ordered a Potato Wedges and Smoothies while the rest went for their bike adventure. The snack and the drink is really nice but damn expensive! No choice. 5 star hotel ma.

Then we joined them back and decided to wet ourselves again in the sea. Played for few hours in the sea and then continue on to swimming pool, basically a quick swim over there so that we had fully utilized the facilities there :P I still remembered my left feet was swollen but the fun is taking over the pain. Heheh I just kept playing till is time for dinner.

We had our dinner at Penyu Restaurant. Buffet dinner which cost us 68++ for each person. Not much variety plus is doesn’t taste nice after all. Is not totally that bad but is not up to my expectation as a 5 star hotel.

After the dinner, we just walked around again and basically all of us are pretty exhausted and decided to call the day off. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz…..

Day 4
Packed our bag and ready to go home. We are taking 12.30pm  flight, so by 10.30 am we have to leave Nexus. A wonderful stay indeed. Bye bye Sabah! Heheh we all will be coming back for more. Next target, Mount Kinabalu and water rafting! Yayy ;)
